Important Introduction to the Experiments
From 2014 to 2017, we introduced six (6) Experiments to challenge the traditional concepts of Christianity to see if they stand up to reason and to what Jesus actually taught. The responses were very positive and led most of our readers to discover new meaning in Jesus’ teaching that “in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.” (Galatians 3:26) These faith children were strengthened and inspired to follow Jesus’ counsel at Matthew 7:7-8:
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
They learned to trust the Spirit of Truth as Jesus explained to his apostles:
“I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”
And, to their surprise, the floodgates of truth were opened to them!
We wondered whether this was a unique group of Christians, and whether any Christian exposed to the actual, authentic, plain and open teachings of Jesus, and the challenges presented in the Experiments, would have the same response.
If you have not yet participated in the Experiments, please give them a try and share your results. We are confident that this Christ Experiment will change the world. Either Jesus is ‘the way, the truth and the life,’ or we are on our own. We have tried it our own way. Now is time to try it Jesus’ way. May the inquisitive, the bold, the courageous, even the cautious minds join us in this adventure. You will not be disappointed!
Try The Experiments
Notes about the Experiments:
In these Experiments, we engage in a fearless, open and unapologetic examination of Christian and Biblical teachings, and the Bible itself, using the ‘scientific method’ of observing and researching facts, forming a hypothesis, predicting an outcome, testing the prediction as it relates to the hypothesis, and analyzing the data. Our goal is to strip away implausible theories, superstition, deception, bias and prejudice, with the help of our readers, so that the underlying truth can be exposed.
Participation in the experiment does not require you to change your religion, your faith, your associations, your church, or even your politics. We are not seeking to establish a new sect or a new religion. We believe approaching these subjects in the form of an experiment will allow for freedom of thought and freedom of expression. It will encourage open and honest discussion, and promote tolerance. We should be able to examine God, Jesus, and religion with a critical eye and an open mind. This is the only way to uncover truth and grasp what is ‘the breadth and length and height and depth’ of the love of Christ. (Ephesians 3:18) And it is our highest hope to have God’s will done on earth as it is in heaven.
In the pursuit of this Experiment, we promote a fair and open examination of the Bible, extra-Biblical literature, the various sects of Christianity, science, philosophy, theosophy, physics, and things like these as they relate to God and Christ Jesus, exercising the ‘freedom of the sons of God’ to the fullest capacity of the human mind. Either God is real and good, or He is not. Either Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior of all, or he is not. Either there is freedom where the Lord is, or there is not. Either life is a deity manifested reality and a gift from a loving Creator, or it is a cosmic accident.
An experiment such as this will open the way for the Spirit of Truth to enlighten and guide us into all truth, along with known and undeniable scientific discoveries. It will release the children of God to discover new meanings and values so that we can fully expect the unexpected! We are not examining the mere possibilities of man, but the limitless possibilities of an infinite God!
